The latest home in our Renovations We Love series brings us to The Rosewood - a stylish modern home rebuilt by Scarlett and her husband.
Brimming with unique design details and a subtle nod to the glamour of the Art Deco era, join us as we explore this striking renovation. @theroseandthewood
In the kitchen, a curved island with storage takes centre stage. A favourite feature of Scarlett's, the contrasting island in Paean Black by Farrow and Ball instantly draws the eye to the symmetry of the design beyond.
Bespoke joinery by Paul Alexander Kitchens ensures there is ample storage throughout the two-tone space - a must for family living. Scarlett notes, ‘When renovating, make a list of your must-haves and try and tick off as many as possible - think about what would be most practical for you and your family.’
On-trend ridged details to the worktops are mirrored by the knurls of the handles and knobs to create fluidity in the design, whilst golden accents elevate the modern luxury aesthetic. Scarlett shares, “I knew from the get-go that I wanted gold hardware in the kitchen. I've always loved a beehive style knob and so when I saw the resemblance in the Merrick collection I instantly fell in love.”
The Utility Room
A neutral utility room provides Scarlett and her family with further storage off the kitchen. The sophisticated design teams pale grey cabinetry with sleek quartz surfaces and industrial-inspired brass hardware from our Digbeth collection.
The Laundry Room
The Contemporary pink by Farrow & Ball in shade Calamine and the gold details, lead the decor in the laundry room. With joinery by Paul Alexander Kitchens, the feminine interior is fresh and light with modern appeal. From scalloped wall tiles and a mosaic floor to the text on the cabinets, each individual element of the space adds visual interest.
The Boot Room
A truly traditional space, The Rosewood boot room evokes a nostalgic feeling with painted joinery in Preference Red by Farrow and Ball. Paired with antique brass hooks and handles to enhance the character, this functional room is beautifully finished with the addition of natural textures like wicker and linen to soften the design.
