The Mudroom Tour: Studio McGee
As one of the most recognised interior design studios, Studio McGee presents an endless source of inspiration for interior enthusiasts the world over. Following on from our last Studio McGee blog, we’re thrilled to share a tour of their exquisite mudroom. Featuring Armac Martin hardware throughout, this impressive space adds another entrance into their home, perfect for busy family life.
In the McGee Home Mudroom Tour, Shea notes how this room has become a wonderful landing space in her family home. Living in Utah means there are muddy boots and snowy coats in abundance throughout the year and so whilst this room acts as a space to take off and store those items, it also offers the family multi-purpose functionality with sleek storage throughout.
Bright and airy - the covetable Studio McGee signature style, this luxurious mudroom is filled with natural light making the depth of the moody painted cabinetry a true focal point. Opting for locker style storage, these innovative cabinets feature vents - a clever solution for storing shoes and allowing the contents to breathe and air naturally. Showcasing opulent veined soapstone counters and an industrial sink sitting beneath beautiful large windows, the room is completed with a custom dutch door to add character to a more modern-led aesthetic.
Choosing to carry through the same cabinet hardware from their kitchen, Studio McGee selected a combination of our Queslett Cup Pulls, Washwood Pulls and Cotswold Cupboard Catches to adorn the cabinetry. In an unlacquered brass finish, these defining details stand out in a new way against the darker cabinets - an elegant hint of warmth mirrored by more natural accessories. Finished with potted countertop plants, wicker bottles and understated art, this unique entrance room is undeniably seamless.
We know this mudroom is going to bring heaps of inspiration, especially if you live in the countryside where outdoor living calls out for this type of functional space.
