Creating the dream home Jennifer and her husband had been imagining for over a decade, every aspect of the design, from the architecture to the fixtures, is a true reflection of their countryside vision.
Speaking of where to begin when designing an entire home, Jennifer shares, “I always begin by setting the overall tone before focusing on individual spaces. It’s important to establish a cohesive foundation so that each room can tell its own story within that larger framework. I do this by repeating key elements like a consistent colour palette, recurring materials and finishes, and architectural details that create unity throughout the home while still allowing each space to express its own personality.”

Throughout the home, each room presents a spirited mix of colour and pattern. The kitchen, however, is a tranquil pause where the design creates a distinctive contrast in a calming neutral palette with a timeless appeal.

Whimsical yet refined, for Jennifer’s daughters’ bathroom, a subtle shell pink (Calamine by Farrow & Ball) is paired with warm white and delicate hints of green and gold. Floral motifs add an authentic nod to the countryside location, whilst bow details bring a magical charm to the design.

Sharing the considered thought behind her hardware choices, Jennifer said, “When designing a country home, every detail matters, especially the small ones. Selecting classic aged brass hardware was about more than just aesthetics for me. I wanted to create a sense of warmth, history, and permanence that reflects the spirit of country living.”
